Abbee Corb
Intelligence Analyst
Abbee has been a Senior Analyst with ISN since 2018. She has a PhD in Criminology, a Masters in Terrorism and Intelligence, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Additionally she holds the accreditation of CAS, and CMAS. She began her career in the early 1990s, prior to the advent of the modern-day Internet. In the early 1990s, whilst employed by a community-based organization, Corb was tasked with researching and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the modus operandi of extremists utilizing IRC, dial-up BBS, and ultimately the Internet.
During her tenure with the non-profit , she responded to hundreds of calls from law enforcement officers requesting investigative assistance on Internet-related matters. As a result, she developed one of the first Internet training programs specifically tailored to the policing community in Canada. Abbee has provided instruction to students at Cambridge University (UK), various Ontario Colleges and Universities in Police Foundations programs, the Ontario Police College, the Canadian Police College, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (“RCMP”) Depot, and elsewhere. Dr. Corb was also a Professor at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (“UOIT”).
Corb was nominated and ultimately designated as a Kentucky Colonel for her valuable contribution to the global intelligence and law enforcement communities. She is an award-winning investigative film maker, a published editor and author. In recognition of her Internet research skills and expertise, she was commissioned by Google Ideas (the think-tank division of Google/Alphabet) to conduct a comprehensive research study dealing with White Supremacists and their use of the Internet. She has taught Internet research skills, including investigative analysis of the dark web to government officials, intelligence, and members of the law enforcement community across the globe.
Dr. Corb has acted in the capacity of Internet Specialist, Open-Source Intelligence Operations Specialist to various law enforcement agencies and intelligence services, and Consultant to the global law enforcement and intelligence community since 2002. In 2016, she left public sector consulting and entered the private sector. In 2019, the investigator became a licensed Private Investigator through the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. Corb has been involved in geo-political risk analysis, online investigations, surveillance, research, and intelligence gathering and dissemination.
