Ernie Louttit is currently a business development consultant with ISN and ISN Maskwa - a member of the Missanabie Cree First Nation residing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In this role, he has been employed as a trainer, preparing a forest fire evacuation site and as operations director at an evacuation site. In the future he looks forward to building working relationships with First Nations communities using the services ISN Maskwa can provide.
Ernie has twenty- seven years of civilian law enforcement experience as well as eight years of military service in the infantry and military police. Ernie has extensive experience in all aspects of policing and emergency response having worked alongside all sections in the police service, fire and paramedics.
Ernie retired from the Saskatoon Police Service in 2013 with the rank of Senior Sergeant. In this role he directly supervised twelve Constables and oversaw a platoon of forty constables. He supervised initial responses to all major incidents, delegating and marshalling resources. A third of each year he spent as Acting Watch Commander overseeing an entire platoon including Canine and traffic officers.
Ernie has completed professional courses at Military Police School of Intelligence and Security at CFB Borden, Saskatchewan Police College including Executive Leadership Development, Major Case Management and Critical Incident Management. In addition to this, Ernie has written three bestselling books on Policing and Leadership.
