2-Day Specialized Training for Front-Line Officers

Day 1 (Wednesday, March 4, 2020) - Intro to ISN Investigative Interviewing System©

The ISN Investigative Interviewing System© is a Rapport-Based program that was designed to build a solid foundation of interview skills. This one-day course is designed specifically to increase confidence, provide a framework for the interview process, enhance communication skills, and assist in determining truth from deception.  Topics Include:

• Course Introduction and Introduction of Presenters - Ice Breaker Exercise
• Interview Systems, Preparation and Planning
• Trauma-Based Interview Skills
• Detecting Deception
• Mock Scenarios

Day 2 (Thursday, March 5, 2020) - Advanced Front-Line Investigative Training

This is scenario-based, interactive, hands-on training designed for officers with varying levels of experience. It is taught by instructors still active in this field, familiar with the latest case law decisions, and that are committed to ensuring officers have a clear understanding of their authorities and apply the law correctly.

• Collection of Identifying Information
• Exigent Circumstances 
• Notetaking
• Court Testimony
