INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES
Risk management is the process for identifying, analyzing, and communicating risk and accepting, avoiding, transferring, or controlling it to an acceptable level considering associated costs and benefits of any actions taken.

ISN works closely with our clients to understand our client’s security risk profile and risk appetite. We then use industry best practices and subject matter experts to establish and implement a security risk management plan. These plans can include, creating a robust enterprise security management system, conducting threat, risk and vulnerability assessments, training employees on how they each play a role in minimizing the organization’s risk profile or conducting detailed investigations on security breaches or employee misconduct.

David Brown
Business Development Consultant
David is an accomplished investigator known for producing superior results concerning a wide variety of criminal, civil and private matters. He is proficient in covert operations, security, close personal protection, project management, surveillance, operational planning, executive coaching, and risk management.
David retired as the superintendent of Serious & Organized Crime in 2020 after 31 years with the Durham Regional Police. Throughout his career David achieved repeated success planning and executing strategies to effectively address community concerns, public service, and managed crisis situations. He has received formal recognition for his efforts in disrupting organized crime and is the recipient of the Police Exemplary Service medal.
David has a vast international network and continues to contribute to public safety matters through his position on the Executive Board of the New York State/ Eastern Canada Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates. He is also a life-time member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Police Studies and enjoys hiking, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
